Ruzhou introduces audio library for visually impaired

The library of Ruzhou in the city of Ruzhou, Henan, set up an audio library on August 22, aiming at providing services for people who are visually impaired.

The audio library contains over 12,000 hours (61,765 episodes) of audio material. It covers nine subjects, including Chinese storytelling, music, films and health. New material is uploaded weekly and a themed program is available every month. The library even provides customized services.

The audio library is equipped with a specially designed login machine. Anyone who has reading difficulty can simply log in with their fingerprint. By following the audio introduction, they can easily get access to enormous audio resources.

The audio library program was initiated by the Development Center of State Public Culture.
