Professor from Tsinghua University gives talks in Ruzhou

Professor Zhu Andong, vice secretary of the Party committee of College of Marxism at Tsinghua University, gave a talk on speeding up a fundamental shift of mode for economic growth in Ruzhou.

Municipal leaders including Chen Guozhong, Liu Guozheng, Li Xiaowei, Wang Yingmin, Jiang.Yong, Zhang Wei, Shao Zhengquan, He Junzhang, Han Zijing, Qiao Yi’en, Zhao Sanzhuang and Shi Xiuqing attended the lecture.

Zhu undertook his Bachelor of Engineering degree and Master of Laws at Tsinghua University, and graduated from in 1995. He then became a Doctor of Economics at University of Massachusetts. He studied Marxism, political economics and aggregative economics and is considered an authority on political economics in China.

Zhu analyzed the background, causes and strategy for a fundamental shift of mode for economic growth in China, and pointed out the problems which have appeared in the past 30 years, such as waste and pollution. To solve the problems and accelerate the development, Zhu suggested a should shift in the economic development mode, with appropriate measures such as scientific development and green development.

Wang Yingmin, member of the standing committee, deputy mayor and secretary general of Suzhou, spoke highly of the talk and hoped that party members and cadres will comprehended the message and work harder to build a rich, civilized, peaceful and harmonious society in Ruzhou.
