Ruzhou Calligraphy & Painting Contest solicits works

The Ru Porcelain Cup 5th National Calligraphy and Painting Grand Contest will be held in June 2012. The competition started to solicit calligraphy and painting works domestically and internationally from Dec 26, 2011 to May 20, 2012.

This grand contest will be hosted by China Fan Art Society and the Ruzhou government and is undertaken by the working committee on disabled persons of the Ruzhou government and Ruzhou disabled persons’ federation.

The competition does not set limits on themes but the works must be positive in content and prominent in style. Explanations are needed for works done in cursive style and clerical calligraphy.

The competition plans to exhibit 500 pieces of works, including 250 pieces of calligraphy and 250 paintings. There will be one Top Award winner, five Gold Award winners, ten Silver Award winners and 30 Bronze Award winners. All of the winners will be awarded prizes, certificates and Ru porcelain trophies. Prizes for the Top Award, Gold Award, Silver Award and Bronze Award will be 20,000 yuan, 5,000 yuan, 3,000 yuan and 1,000 yuan respectively.
