Xi Er River in Ruzhou, Central China's Henan province, witnessed plenty of water flowing along its dried out river bed on Aug 17.

It was the fifth time for the city government to divert water from Luhun Reservoir to the Xi Er River, in an attempt to release the pressure of domestic water supply in urban areas.
