A news center for Dahe Daily - a newspaper established by the Henan Daily Newspaper Group - was inaugurated in Central China’s Ruzhou, on March 26, Dahe Daily reported. Dong Ling, deputy editor-in-chief of the Henan Daily Newspaper Group; Wang Zihe, head of Dahe Daily; and Gao Jianjun and Li Yunping, secretary and deputy secretary of the Ruzhou municipal Party committee respectively, were on hand at the opening ceremony.

The establishment of the Ruzhou Center marked the debut of Dahe Daily’s Ruzhou news edition. From now on, Ruzhou News will be published regularly. Ruzhou’s authorities expressed a warm welcome for the center’s establishment. Li Yunpin praised Dahe Daily’s achievement at the ceremony and described the center’s positioning in Ruzhou as a strategic decision for Dahe Daily and good news for Ruzhou’s publicity. It will, he added, play an active role in promoting Ruzhou’s economic and social development.

On behalf of the city’s government and Party committee, Li promised Ruzhou would give every support to the center’s operations in the city.

The Ruzhou News edition will cover politics, the economy, culture and social life of the city, Wang Zihe added.

The launching of the Ruzhou center and news edition is considered to be Dahe Daily’s first stop in Henan’s counties that are directly under the provincial administration, and it will continue to expand into other counties in the same way.
