A work conference regarding Henan new walling materials kicked off on Feb 25. During the conference, Ruzhou’s municipal housing and urban-rural development bureau was recognized with an award for its outstanding performance in the field of new walling materials. Ruzhou has received the award for three successive years, according to Pds.gov.cn.

The city of Ruzhou has seen vigorous development in new walling materials, including the popularity of sintered coal gangue bricks and aerated concrete bricks, both of which take advantage of local resources. The total output of such new walling materials has hit 1.3 billion units and can meet the needs of the city’s urban and rural construction projects.

Through a combination of both economic and administrative measures, the new walling materials have won over 95 percent of Ruzhou’s market share. New construction projects are required to use the new walling materials, and the rate of new materials application in new projects has reached 100 percent.

Meanwhile, the municipality has attached importance to improving the public’s awareness on walling materials innovation. It has organized five publicity activities surrounding walling materials innovation in the past year, as well as 182 local media news stories to popularize related information.
