Ruzhou won the 3rd prize for "Chinese charity news award"

The second "Chinese charity news award" selection results were recently announced. "Angel in the world", the work submitted by the Ruzhou Municipal Administration of Radio and TV, won the third prize.

"Chinese charity news award" was created and hosted by the China Charity Federation. The submitted works were required to report the influential major charity events in China in 2009 and 2010. "Angel in the world" was an educational film that recorded the moving story of Song Zhaopu, Dean of Jingeng hospital, in an innovative way. As the Dean of a private hospital, Zhaopu raised 7 million yuan for the treatment of 149 children with cerebral palsy. For his tireless efforts, 71 cerebral palsy children returned to normal and more than 30 children could go back to their families.

Approximately 298 media agents, such as CCTV, China National Radio, People's Daily and Xinhua News Agency, submitted 701 pieces to the competition. Only one out of five were able to win the prize.
