Ruzhou keeps libraries free and open to the public

Ruzhou municipal library has opened an electronic reading room, book lending room, children's reading room, newspaper and journals reading room, and reference room, free of charge to the public.

The electronic reading room has 55 computers that are connected to the Internet via optical fibers, facilitating readers to get information efficiently. The book lending room and children's reading room contains 100,000 copies of books.

The newspaper and journals reading room is furnished with 160 varieties of Chinese and foreign newspapers and journals, meeting the diversified demands of readers. The reading room may accommodate 300 readers simultaneously. The reference room keeps over 30,000 copies of precious periodicals and books published since the founding of the People Republic of China in 1949, providing readers with all kinds of knowledge.

Ruzhou library will solicit opinions and suggestions from readers to improve the collection of books, enrich the periodicals, and provide brand-new services to create a more comfortable quiet reading environment.
