On the morning of Nov 27, Xiyuan Ge, a new antique collection store, held a grand opening ceremony on the antique street is located at Anping Street, Ruzhou city, Henan province.

The new antique collection store is about 20 square meters, including a porcelain room and a scripts and paintings room. The porcelain room on Anping Street attracts the attention of enthusiastic collectors with its exhibit of various antiques such as tri-coloured glazed potteries from the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Jun porcelain, Ru porcelain and ceramic chips.

In the scripts and paintings room, on the middle wall, hangs an ink-and-wash painting of Zhong Kui by renowned painter Liu Wanlin, a landscape painting of Zhang Shaowen and Qiuqi Qing (Bright Autumn Atmosphere) by Lu Muxun.

The boss of Xiyuan Ge, Li Yuanxi, is an old collector with more than 20 years experience in collecting. Over 50 years of age, he offers original insight in appreciating porcelain, jade objects, scripts and paintings.

The history of Li collecting antiques dates back to 1983. One day, Li was working at a farm and came across a ceramic chip with special colors and loved it so much that he couldn't tear himself away from it.

From then on, Li has been tightly bound to antiques and has collected over 30 ancient porcelains, over 50 priceless scrolls of scripts and paintings and over 600 pieces of various ceramic chips. The most precious item is the Ru porcelain jar from Song Dynasty (960--1279), which has a history of more than 1,000 years and a value that has yet to be assessed.

"The important thing is communication, not trade. I would like to cooperate with all friends who like antiques to learn from each other and progress together," Li said.
