According to the Ruzhou Municipal Bureau of Water Conservancy, the government will invest 7.69 million yuan to build a mountain flood prevention and warning system covering the whole city.

In recent years, the mountain flood disaster has taken place quite frequently in many places in China, causing a great loss. Hence the government decides to build the mountain flood prevention area in 1836 counties to reduce the casualties, and Zhuzhou is one of them.

This project plans to build 25 automatic rainfall stations, 2 automatic water level monitoring stations, 128 simple rainfall stations and 79 simple water level monitoring stations scattered at 127 watersheds in Ruzhou. In addition, these stations will be on the same network with the built hydrology and weather station, consisting of the rainfall and water monitoring network for the whole city, to complete the initial set of networks, databases, geographic information technology in one platform for monitoring and early warning. It will also set up warning system; publicize the prevention knowledge, train the technicians and organize the prevention drill.

At present, this project is in the process of planning and designing, and the preliminary work is being stepped up.
